Maui Beaches

Maui has over 30 miles of beaches so one must carefully choose which they will visit. However they are all spectacular in their own right and regardless of where you end up you will be in awe of the natural beauty of Maui.

Some beaches such as Kaanapali are highly developed while others are completely untouched with hardly a soul around.

Napili Bay

If you're after a great swimming and novice snorkeling spot then try Napili Bay which is South of Kapalua.

Kaanapali

Kaanapali Beach is a lovely spot. At the north is Black Rock which is where you can wade and have access to awesome snorkeling locations. Make sure you check out CJ's Diner near Kaanapali Beach. They have a huge breakfast and great lunch menu.

Kaanapali Beach is considered one of the best in Maui. You'll see spectacular sunsets here so it is perfect for photography or romantic strolls in the evening.

Kihei

The Kihei area is a popular spot for tourists. It is on the south shore of Maui. North Kihei can get quite hot but that hardly matters when you can cool off on the beach! If you're really keen on water then stay at the Mana Kai Maui Resort which lies on a rocky shore across from Keawakapu beach.

Makena Beach State Park

In the south of Maui lies Makena Beach State Park which contains one of Maui's famous beaches called Big Beach which is a very long beautiful beach surrounded by forest and nature. This is one of my favorite family beaches, just be aware that neighboring Little Beach regularly has nude sun bathers!

These are just some of the wonderful beaches that await you in Maui.
